We are excited at the first response of participants in the early-bird application period of the 12^th Festival of the Third Age!

More than 100 participants have already confirmed their participation in this year's festival’s fair exhibition. There is also an exceptional interest in presentations in the cultural programme on the open stage, where we are almost running out of dates for the performances. Also, quite a few interesting lectures and workshops in the educational programme of the festival are already confirmed.

We are receiving equally excellent responses to the competitions we have opened, as children’s drawings and paintings as well as literary works of children and elderly are well-stuffing our mailbox.

If you are still thinking of presenting at this year's Festival, you have the time to apply until 6 July 2012, when the final deadline for confirmation of participation expires.

We are sincerely honored that this year the Festival will be held under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Slovenia Danilo Türk, Ph.D., who is also honorary patron of the European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations 2012 in Slovenia.

The 12^th Festival of the Third Age will be held from 1 to 3 October 2012 in Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana, and will be the highlight of the European Year 2012 in Slovenia, i.e. European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations.
