See You Again in Autumn at the 13th F3ŽO

It will be merry again from 1 until 3 October 2013 in Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana, when the 13th Festival of the Third Age (F3ŽO) will take place.

An exceptional cultural programme of dance, music, theatre and choir performances awaits you, as well as interesting lectures, workshops, intergenerational programme, expert panels, and of course a lot of interesting exhibition spaces with a wide and various offer of products and services at the fair exhibition.

So, do mark the dates from 1 until 3 October 2013 in your calendars and we hope to see you at the 13th F3ŽO!


Short Report on the 12th F3ŽO

The 12th Festival of the Third Age that took place from 1 until 3 October 2012 was a great success.

As the main event of the European Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity Between Generations 2012 in Slovenia, it was visited by more than 15,000 visitors from around Slovenia and abroad.

The visitors enjoyed themselves in 85 cultural events and took part in more than 70 educational events. In the fair exhibition, more than 200 exhibitors and other participants presented their offer of information, services, and products that promote active ageing and contribute to a higher quality of life for the elderly as well as to better intergenerational co-operation.

Anthology of Articles from the Expert Programme of the 12th F3ŽO

A special part of the programme of the 12th F3ŽO was held under the title The Future of Slovenia as a Long-Lived Society. The Festival was namely the main event of the European Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity Between Generations 2012 in Slovenia, so the themes of the European Year 2012 determined the thread of the programme.

This part of the programme discussed the topical issues from long-term care to pension reform that is taking place in Slovenia, the concept of active ageing and intergenerational solidarity, volunteerism; different experiences and examples of good practices from different parts of Slovenia and from differente social spheres were presented, and solutions and suggestions for a more quality life for all generations in the future were discussed with the aim to create a more inclusive and cohesive society.
